Where did Emeka Egbuka go to high school?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. He became the 19th overall pick, and before his draft pick, he played as a wide receiver and was a graduate student in the 2024 season for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He is a native of Steilacoom, Washington. He was the team captain during the 2024 season and guided the Buckeyes to the 2025 College Football Playoff national championship.

As Emeka Egbuka progressed into his sophomore year in 2022, he recorded over 1,000 receiving yards. In December 2023, Egubka graduated with his degree in marketing.

In his freshman year, Egbuka made appearances in 11 games, catching nine passes for 191 yards. He returned 20 kickoffs for 580 yards. These contributions earned him recognition as an honorable mention in the All-Big Ten Conference.

Emeka Egbuka attended Steilacoom High School in Steilacoom, Washington. As a junior, he earned the 2019 Washington Gatorade Player of the Year, catching 83 passes, 1,607 yards for 25 touchdowns. He also contributed with 2,240 all-offensive yards, three punt return touchdowns, and four rushing touchdowns. He helped his team reach the 2A state championship game, where he set a record of 18 receptions for 163 yards and three touchdowns from eight tackles. Apart from football, he also played baseball in high school. A consensus five-star prospect and was rated as the No. 8 overall player as per 247Sports. He was also named the top-ranked wide receiver in the country.
