Jaydon Blue is a college football player, playing as a running back for the Texas Longhorns as of April 2025. The team competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Before moving to Texas, Blue attended Klein Cain High School. He was rated as a four-star recruit out of high school and was the third overall running back in the class of 2022. Blue chose the Texas Longhorns to start his collegiate football career after rejecting offers from schools such as Alabama, LSU, and Georgia.

As a sophomore in 2023, Jaydon Blue played in all 14 games for the season, rushing 65 times for 398 yards and three touchdowns. He also received 14 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown. Some of his notable performances include a 121-yard game against Texas Tech, marking his first career 100-yard game, and a 59-yard, one-touchdown effort in the CFP semifinal against Washington. Blue showed a knack for kickoff returns with 80 yards in the Sugar Bowl. His career was marked by some key moments against top teams like Oklahoma, BYU, and Iowa State. As a freshman in 2022, Blue rushed 15 times for 33 yards. The following year, the Houston, Texas native rushed ten times for a career-high 121 yards and a touchdown as his side won against Texas Tech. He caught four passes for 45 yards against the Huskies in the 2024 Sugar Bowl while scoring one touchdown and rushing nine times for 59 yards against Washington. The Longhorns running back concluded his sophomore season with 398 yards and three touchdowns, including 14 passes for 135 yards.
