The 20-year-old, born on April 12, 2004, in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S., attended high school at IMG Academy in Florida. Upon graduating high school, Tyler Booker was rated as a five-star recruit by On3.

Tyler Booker enrolled with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2022 to commence his college football career. In his freshman year in 2022, Booker played 12 games and started one. The following year, Tyler was announced as a preseason first-team All-American. Booker was named the SEC offensive lineman of the week in week four of the season after a win over Ole Miss. Booker started all of the 12 games for Alabama and had two sacks and four pressures, resulting in him bagging a place in the second team all SEC. In 2024, Booker started in 12 games as a permanent team captain for the Crimson Tide. Additionally, he was selected in the watch lists for both the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy. He was named a First-Team All-SEC selection before declaring himself for the 2025 NFL Draft (via Yahoo Sports).
