Tyler Shough is an American quarterback who played his 2024/25 season of college football with the Louisville Cardinals. Shough started his football career at Hamilton High School, where he was among the top quarterback prospects in the nation and was rated the No.1 player in the state of Arizona. He also participated in the Elite 11 camp with the country’s best quarterback prospects. Shough was ranked the No.94 overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class. The four-star recruit from Chandler embarked on his collegiate football journey with the Oregon Ducks after considering offers from top programs like Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon State, Washington State, and others.

Shough spent three seasons with the Oregon Ducks, where he recorded 1,703 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions over his 15 career games. After spending three years at Eugene, Shough transferred to Texas Tech Red Raiders, where he would go on to play his next few years of college football. Tyler helped the Red Raiders to an undefeated season in 2022 as the starting quarterback despite missing the first six games of the year due to a shoulder injury. Last season, Shough sustained a season-ending leg injury, which limited him to only four games in the campaign. In his three years with the Red Raiders, Shough passed for 2,922 passing yards along with 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 15 career games. Following the conclusion of the 2023 regular season, Shough transferred to the Louisville Cardinals to play his final season of college eligibility.
