Born on February 2, 2003, Turner was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. Turner started his football journey at American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida, where he caught the attention of scouts with his remarkable defensive skills. Turner's junior year was particularly outstanding, as he earned the title of the area Defensive Player of the Year thanks to his remarkable 74 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

After transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Turner continued to shine as a rising star in the football world. His impressive athleticism, quick acceleration, and effective pass-rushing abilities set the stage for his transition to college football.

As an outside linebacker for Alabama, he has showcased his versatility, agility, and determination in every game.

Upon joining the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2021, Turner wasted no time in making his presence felt. In his freshman season, he appeared in 11 games, making three starts, and recorded 30 tackles, including 8.5 sacks and 10.0 tackles for loss. His outstanding performance earned him recognition as a defensive standout and a spot on the 247Sports Freshman All-America honors list.

The following season, Turner's impact continued to grow. He played in 13 games, accumulating 37 tackles and four sacks. His ability to disrupt opposing offenses was evident in his nine pressures against opposing linemen and a crucial fumble recovery. Turner's dedication and skill were pivotal in Alabama's victories, including the Iron Bowl triumph against Auburn and a dominant performance in the Sugar Bowl against Kansas State.
