Andre Villas-Boas shuns Barcelona talks, says Bale not for sale 'at any price'

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas made it clear that taking up the vacant Barcelona job is out of the picture for him.

Barcelona’s manager Tito Vilanova decided to step down last night after his second cancer relapse, and it was tipped by the bookies that Villas-Boas stands as a favourite for the job.

Villas-Boas explained to Sky Sports: “It’s a difficult situation.”

“At this time, all my wishes are with Tito. If he has to resign over illness, it’s not the time to speak about speculation.”

“We’re speaking about a person’s health, it’s not even a question.”

After being asked about Gareth Bale‘s current status at the White Hart Lane, Villas-Boas admitted that there are offers yet to come for the Welsh hitman.

“No offers, no,” said Boas. “Bale is not for sale at any price.”
