Bundesliga round-up 10th August: Dortmund register easy win, Hertha hit six

FC Augsburg v Borussia Dortmund - Bundesliga

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Dortmund celebrates his second goal during the Bundesliga match against FC Augsburg at SGL Arena on August 10, 2013 in Augsburg

Debutant Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it a night to remember for Borussia Dortmund with his hat-trick as last year’s Bundesliga runners-up Dortmund scored four goals past hapless Augsburg.

The new arrival from St Etienne scored three as Dortmund men bettered Bayern Munich’s 3-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.

Augsburg never provided any threat to Jurgen Klopp’s men as the difference in quality between the two sides reflected in the final score thanks to Aubameyang and a late penalty from Robert Lewandowski.

On the other hand, the newly promoted side Hertha Berlin moved to the top of the Bundesliga table in nascent stages with Sami Allagui and Adrian Ramos grabbing a brace each in a crushing 6-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

On to Bay Arena now where Bayer Leverkusen started their campaign with a fine 3-1 win over Freiburg. Last season’s Bundesliga top-scorer Stefan Kiessling opened the scoring for Leverkusen before Mike Hanke opened his account for Freiburg just before the break.

But second-half goals from Heung Min Son and Sidney Sam killed turned the match in favour of hosts.

Good day for the hosts across Bundesliga continued as Hannover took the honours in the Lower Saxony derby, courtesy goals from Leon Andreasen and Szabolcs Huszti in a 2-0 win over Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim threw away a two-goal lead just as they did on many occasions last season as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Nurnberg.

The newly promoted team TSV Eintracht Braunschweig lost 1-0 to Werder Bremen thanks to a solitary goal from Junuzovic Zlatko in 82nd minute.
