Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has made a surprising revelation about rivals Manchester United ahead of the much anticipated Manchester derby on September 10. The Spaniard has revealed that he has still not seen Man United play under Jose Mourinho and intends to do so in the international break.

This Manchester derby is gearing up to be one of the most important derbies in recent times as both the Manchester clubs have emerged as title contenders for the 2016-17 season.

When asked about City's next opponent, Guardiola said, "Still I didn't see Manchester United playing, so now I have 10 days to see United, Borussia Monchengladbach and other teams.”

“We have to make an amazing performance to win at Old Trafford. I can imagine the atmosphere. I am looking forward to living that experience. Hopefully, the players will come back with no injuries and in a good mood and we can do it."

When asked about what the ideal time could have been to face Man United, the 45-year-old said, " "If we should play United in three or four days, OK, we go there. But now we go to the national team. We never know what is going on."

Pep Guardiola will get a taste firsthand of the intensity that the Manchester Derby has generated in recent seasons. The outcome from this match might decide the shape in which the title race might progress.

Sergio Aguero will not be joining the Argentina national team because of a minor injury concern as he faces an anxious wait over his fate regarding his elbow on Winston Reid. He may face a three-match ban if the FA takes retrospective action against him. Guardiola said on the incident, " I did not see anything. I will see what you are talking about on TV and, after that, we are going to see."

Manchester United may miss Marouane Fellaini for the derby as he opted out of the Belgium squad because of an injury he sustained against Hull City. Mourinho said, “I am going to lose Fellaini for a while. He has a muscle injury in his back and it is not good.” Fellaini has started every game for Mourinho in the league this season and has changed his fortunes at the club under the Portuguese.
