Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has claimed that Gareth Bale is ‘born’ to play for Real Madrid. Perez’s comments on the Welsh star come after Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett claimed that he would be ready to hear offers from the Spanish giants.
The Spanish newspaper Marca had quoted the Real Madrid President as saying: “Bale was born to play in Madrid.”However, Perez has hinted that the club might not be chasing Luis Suarez, saying: “Suárez is a great player and I am sure all in the world would want him. I like him and others too, but it does not always fit.”Perez has also insisted that he expects Cristiano Ronaldo to remain with Madrid.
“He has two years on his deal and is the best in the world,” the president said. “I will do my best to get him to sign a new contract and would not sell him for €100m. We are not a selling club. I would like him to finish his career here.”
