Andre Villas Boas has denied Gareth Bale’s move to Real Madrid is done

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has denied reports suggesting that the record deal that will take Gareth Bale to Spain is already done.

“That is not true,” quoted the Portuguese manager when asked about the future of the Welshman. He was attending a press conference ahead of Tottenham’s Europa League play-off clash against Dynamo Tbilisi.

Bale will not be a part of the team for the match as he is suffering from a foot injury and though the manager has denied the deal, the officials of the club still remain silent on the situation.

However, AVB has kept the door open for Bale’s transfer in the future.

“Ideally we want to keep everyone to make us stronger – that is the ultimate objective of the club .In the end, anything can happen. We are dragging ourselves into the last weeks of transfer activity and it can become very, very frantic”, he said.

With Real Madrid looking to team up Bale with Ronaldo to compete with the Neymar-Messi pairing in Barcelona, sources say that Bale could soon be on his way to Madrid.

Tottenham will face Dynamo Tbilisi, 14-time domestic champions on Thursday at the Dinamo Arena.
