Above is a screenshot of what appears to confirm Gareth Bale’s proposed world record transfer move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotpsur.

The Welsh winger has been widely expected to join the Spanish Giants on a deal said to be worth around £100 million. With Madrid’s official online store mentioning his name on their website, it looks like Bale’s transfer to Los Blancos has been completed.

Bale joined Tottenham in 2007 and since has made over 200 appearances for the North London club. He will become the latest of a long list of Galaticos that Real Madrid have signed under the presidency of Florentino Perez.

There have been reports that Gareth Bale will make his debut for Real on 1 September, against Athletic Bilbao.

Late on Friday, photographs began to circulate on Twitter of a stage being erected at the Bernabeu, giving rise to speculation that Bale’s unveiling as a Real Madrid player is now just a matter of time.
