Inter held to 2-2 draw by Bologna

Milan, April 6 (IANS) Diego Milito missed a late penalty as Inter Milan were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Bologna in the Italian Serie A.

Mauro Icardi, who is hoping to make Argentina’s World Cup squad, scored a brace — a predatory early goal preceding a superb curler from the edge of the box — to put the hosts twice ahead, but Michele Pazienza and Panagiotis Kone both pounced on rebounds to bring Bologna back to level terms at the San Siro Saturday night, reports Xinhua.

Inter were awarded a chance to win the game in the 84th minute when Rodrigo Palacio won a penalty, but Bologna goalkeeper Gianluca Curci saved substitute Milito’s spot kick to leave Mazzarri’s men without a victory in four outings.

Inter remain fifth in Serie A table, two points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina and only three above Parma, who have a game in hand.
