It has been a grand start to Ole Gunner Solskjaer as he looks forward to Manchester United's 5th straight win since his arrival as a caretaker manager. Since the departure of Jose Mourinho, Solskjaer has been a breath of fresh air and boosted the morale of everyone associated with Manchester United.

Despite the recent run of good form, it is more or less sure that the current Manchester United squad needs to upgrade and the board will be eyeing for key signings in the winter transfer window to strengthen the squad.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has yet to discuss the possible transfers regarding the winter window but he is also determined to have his say in front of the board.

“The club’s probably had a plan - you don’t just plan the next day and next month but this transfer window has probably been planned since the summer and year before. The structure [here] is phenomenal. I’m sure they’ve got their targets,” said the 45-year-old Manchester United coach.

“I’m here to voice my opinion on that and I’m sure we’ll sit down, me and Ed [Woodward, executive vice-chairman] if we’ve got anything in the pipeline," he added as quoted by Guardian.

While Jose Mourinho had his share of faults in his chaotic times with Manchester United, Manchester United's one of the worst starts in the Premier League is not entirely his fault. The players have underperformed severely during that period. Moreover, the failure of the Manchester United board in the recent transfer window is a known fact.

Both Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku are far from their best but they will hope to step up under the new coach. Although it is quite clear that strengthening the United squad will be quite difficult for the club in January, Solskjaer will voice his opinions when needed. There is no doubt that despite being the caretaker manager, he is taking his job of rejuvenating the squad seriously and will do everything to help Manchester United get back to their good old days.
