Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil insists that he his not planning to leave Real Madrid.
As reported by Mirror Football, Ozil said: “I am happy to be at Real Madrid and proud to be part of this team.
“I have a contract until 2016. It is an honour and a privilege to be part of this team.
“I am flattered that great teams are interested in me. But I have a contract at Real Madrid and I will stay. There is no discussion.”
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had earlier targeted Mesut Ozil. But the player’s recent interview dealt a blow to Wenger’s transfer plans.
Real Madrid, on the other hand are planning to off-load a number of stars to reduce their wage bill and Ozil might be one of them.
Mesut Ozil is set to be the odd man out once Gareth Bale arrives with Ronaldo and Isco the other two stars playing in the trio behind the main striker.
