Tottenham Hotspur are mulling over more than one bid for Gareth Bale and the North London club are adamant that no agreement has been reached with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Real have been chasing Bale throughout the summer but it looks like they now have competition for the Welshman’s signature.

Reports in the Spanish media suggested that everything was in place for what is expected to be a world record deal. The latest development is that no deal has been agreed between the two clubs.

Bale is reportedly unaware of any interest apart from Madrid’s and there have been suggestions that David Moyes’s Manchester United are the club who have expressed an interest in the winger.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti refused to talk about Bale and added that he was looking forward to the end of the transfer window so that the focus can return to football.

“I don’t like to speak for two reasons, first of all because Gareth Bale is not a player of Real Madrid at this moment, and also because I need to have respect for my players,” said Ancelotti.

“They are here and we are focusing on our game tomorrow.

“I know that at this moment it is easy to talk about the market because it is very close to the end.

“I do hope the Monday deadline will arrive very soon.”
