Rangdajied United FC will look to register their second win of the season when they host Pune FC in another mouth-watering clash at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Wednesday evening.

Luckily for the football lovers of the city, bandh called by the pro ILP activists, have been relaxed to let the football aficionados throng the stadium to watch their team in action. The match is slated for a 5 PM kick-off as usual and tickets for the match will be available at the counters in the stadium.

Having registered their first win against Mohun Bagan before going down to East Bengal last weekend, Rangdajied will be looking to grab their first 3 points at home. With almost everyone in the squad fit, Santosh Kashyap will have his best men at his disposal, giving him a problem of plenty.

Former Pune FC striker, Edmar Figuiera, who will be pitted against his old team may also get to feature in the game, after missing out couple of matches due to injury. Kim Song Yong, after getting his first goal against East Bengal, will look to unsettle the Pune FC defence.

Skipper Eugeneson will pull the string in the midfield along with experience Tomba Singh, likely to be aided by David Ngaihte and Joy Chandra on either side. The backline will have the experienced Gouramangi Singh and Lamine Tamba in the center, covered on either side by Yohei Iwasaki and Thomas Saikhom. Pratik Chaudury may also fit in.

Meanwhile Pune FC will be eager to bounce back to their winning ways after their Maha-Derby debacle. The I-League runners-up have not had the best of run since going into the international break in November.

Much like Rangdajied, Pune have managed just 6 points in their last 6 outings. Though Randajied had climbed a place during these phase, the Red Lizards have dropped a place to 3rd. So, they are bound to come really hard at the Blues.

In their last meeting in October at the Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune triumphed over the Shillong side, courtesy of a Callum Agnes strike. But since then, Rangdajied United is a changed team, having added much quality in their arsenal.

The positives for the side is that, they have been scoring more regularly then when they started, netting in all their last five games. A tighter defensive line and a little more creative midfield against Pune FC can win the Blues their first match at home.
