Manchester United are reportedly set to hand Erik ten Hag a stunning €500 million transfer budget this summer, if Sheikh Jassim completes takeover. The Red Devils want to bolster the squad and challenge for the more trophies next season.

As per a report in El Paris, Manchester United are keen on making a statement in the summer transfer window. The Glazers are working with the Qatari consortium and have decided to let Ten Hag spend big.

The report from the Spanish publication read:

"United are engineering the biggest market assault in football history. Sources that advise the Glazers indicate that whether ownership changes or not, the most valued sports institution in the Anglo-Saxon world is preparing to invest a minimum of €500 million in signing players this summer."

It further noted:

"United have informed the Qataris of the plan. 'United gave us the list of players they wanted to sign,' explained a member of the technical team that accompanies Sheikh Jassim; 'And after an hour of analysis we did not object.'"

The Red Devils are looking to add a goalkeeper, a right back, a midfielder and a world-class striker as the manager knows he needs more goals, as per reports.

Top players want to join Manchester United, claims Erik ten Hag

Erik ten Hag has claimed that top players want to join Manchester United again. He believes that there is a big difference in the last one year and is confident that the players are buying into his project.

He was quoted by ESPN saying:

"I see a big difference in comparison with last year. There were a lot of reservations last year when I spoke with players and now many players see the project, what's going on, the dynamic and the ambition in this project, the quality especially."

He added:

"They are really keen to come, I've noticed that. It looks like there were a lot of reservations last year, a lot of doubts when we approached players. This year, many quality players really want to come."

Erik ten Hag has confirmed that he wants to sign a striker at Manchester United and has set sights on Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. They are also looking at a replacement for David De Gea on priority this summer.

United have won a whopping 40 games from their 59 matches this season, a win percent higher than the one achieved by the Mikel Arteta at Arsenal in this campaign.

United have also won the Carabao Cup this season. They need one point from their last two games to confirm a top four spot and will also be in line to win the FA Cup should they beat Manchester City in the final on June 3.
