Gareth Bale was seen pictured with Golf star Sergio Garcia on Sunday during the Spanish open. The Welshman is a big fan of the sport and apparently played, after being invited by the golfer.
There has been speculation that the injury pciked up by Bale has been caused due to him playing 36 holes, which is two complete rounds and the Madrid media have criticized him for that.
Real Madrid Captain Sergio Ramos was not pleased with the winger’s activities off the pitch. Speaking to El Partido de las 12 radio show he said, "I don't know if he has played golf or not, but we must have all 20 senses focused at 100 percent at this stage of the season when we are playing for so much."
Madrid are now just a point behind Barcelona with four games left to play and have a very god chance of winning the La Liga themselves when 3 weeks ago the title looked to be heading to Catalonia once again.
Ramos understands the importance of the last few games of the season and demands his team be focused . "From when you wake up until you go to bed you think just about football, as everything is on the line. Anything that could harm your football is not good.”
Ramos has not yet spoken to Bale about the issue but he is planning to. “I've not said anything to him [Bale] about it, but maybe I should.”
Ramos on Ronaldo’s injury
Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered a thigh muscle injury and confirmed the fears of Real Madrid fans. It is still not certain whether he will be available for their Champions League clash on Tuesday against Manchester City next week.
Ramos spoke about the injury and hoped he would recover in time.
“We all know Cristiano. He is super-ambitious, he wants to play every game, to score goals even when he is sleeping. Maybe he should have a different focus, because we all reach an age when it is not bad to rest from time to time. You know the season is long and there are many games” said the defender.
“I have spoken to him about this, but he does not like to rest when there are individual trophies like the Golden Shoe and others. So it is normal he does not want to rest when he's up against other players who don't rest. I'd prefer not to talk too much about this now -- we hope this injury and little issue he has won't stop him playing on Tuesday.”
