TAL Season 3 (Division 1): Gameweek 6 Preview TAL "Crystal Ball"

Supernova FC will be looking to their Argentine midfield stalwart Mica Levy to fire them to victory against Horizons FC

Gameweek 6 of Division 1 is upon us as we close in on the halfway mark in the season. The competition looks tighter this time and with teams like Project 7 raising their game, they have left their immediate rivals like Yataghan, Gremio FC and Flipkart FC behind them.

The pick of the action, though, is the top of the table clash between Horizons FC and Supernova FC, a game that will be a litmus test of the title credentials of both teams.

8:00 AM: Project 7 v Samba FC

The game between Project 7 and Samba FC kicks off the action for the day. Project 7 are the surprise packages of the season so far and sit in 4th place. Samba FC finally managed to pick up their first win only in game week 5, despite playing well in all their previous games. All this should make for an intriguing fixture with a draw the most likely result between two evenly matched sides.

Crystal Ball: Project 7 (1) - (1) Samba FC

9:30 AM: FC Kougen Kikou v Yataghan Internazionale

Two teams that know each other very well clash in the next game as FC Kougen Kikou take on Yataghan Internazionale. Their previous meetings in past seasons have been close encounters with both teams picking up a win each. Much of the same can be expected here too, as these two sides pit their wits against each other once again.

Given the morale-boosting victory over Rare Dare in their last outing, Yataghan are a safe bet to win this one. But this might just be the kind of game that FC Kougen Kikou need to kickstart their season.

Crystal Ball: FC Kougen Kikou (1) – (2) Yataghan Internazionale

11:00 AM: Gremio FC v Mercurial FC

Another game between familiar foes is up next when Gremio FC take on Mercurial FC. Mercurial FC will not have fond memories of this fixture, after the 16-0 humiliation they suffered last season. They were comprehensively beaten in Season 1 too and things do not look any better the third time around either. Gremio are desperately in need of points and this game presents them with just that opportunity.

Crystal Ball: Gremio FC (2) – (0) Mercurial FC

12:30 PM: Parikrma v Rare Dare FC

Parikrma renew their title bid with the game against Rare Dare FC. Parikrma have found their goalscoring touch after a couple of nervy games, making them the team to beat once again. Rare Dare have put in impressive displays but have not got the results to show for it. Given the importance of the points at stake, Parikrma will be firm favorites to take all three points from this game.

Crystal Ball: Parikrma (3) - (0) Rare Dare FC

2:15 PM: Horizons FC v Supernova FC

The pick of the games for the day is the mouth-watering tie between perennial favorites Horizons FC and last season’s Division 2 champions Supernova FC. Horizons have been sneaking past their opponents in their games and none of their victories have been convincing enough.

With the form Supernova showed in their last game against Mercurial, they look primed to usurp Horizons in second place although a draw is a very plausible result too.

Crystal Ball: Horizons FC (1) - (1) Supernova FC

3:45 PM: Mavericks FC v Flipkart FC

The match between Mavericks and Flipkart FC rounds off a busy week in the league. Flipkart have had an up and down season, alternating between wins and losses. Mavericks looked like a revitalized team after a win and a draw but have been grounded again when they surrendered rather meekly to Project 7. Both teams are in need of some points, but Flipkart clearly have the edge in this game.

Crystal Ball: Mavericks FC(0) – (2) Flipkart FC
