Video: 'My first impressions are very good', says Guardiola

New coach Pep Guardiola talked to the press as Bayern Munich’s pre-season training camp kicked off in Trentino, northern Italy on Thursday.

Pep Guardiola, FC Bayern Munich coach (on his first week as Bayern Munich coach):“After my first week in Munich, my first impressions are very, very good. Not only with regard to my new players, but also with regard to all employees and staff at the Saebener Strasse (FC Bayern Munich headquarters and training grounds). Everybody is very, very polite to us. It is a period of only one week and not more. And we need some more time to get to know each other. But my first impression is very wonderful, very good.”

“This is a very good period for us all together, to get to learn each other. Everything is important of course: tactics and physical condition. Everything is important, but the most important thing is that the players are having the opportunity now to get to know me and vice versa. But I am pretty sure that after this week here, we will come back to Munich and we will come to the conclusion that this period here was very important and very good.”
