GSC Game World address their STALKER franchise issues

GSC Game World, the creative minds behind the unique STALKER franchise surprised everyone when they emerged out of a dormant period of hibernation in December last year. In a recent interview the Ukrainian team talked about the circumstances of their re-launch, and what’s next on their agenda ever since they made their return to the gaming world. Valentine Yeltyshev who is the public relations director for GSC Game World he has authority now but in February 2011 he was a part of the enterprise when GSC had decided to terminate their work on the next STALKER game and the company had closed down.

The core STALKER team had rallied their way around Vostok Games, which went on to publish a online shooter game Survarium, Yeltyshev says that he went his own way and had stepped away from the games industry entirely inorder to pursue a career in the popular motocross circuit. "That was the beginning of Vostok Games," Yeltyshev told in the interview "But I did not trust in the idea of the Survarium game. But I did not believe, at that time, that something better could be done. So that's why I stepped away from the games industry and never became part of Vostok Games.” But now we can gladly say that he and the glorious GSC Game World both are back. Yeltyshev told that since November of 2014 he has been working for GSC full time he also shared his excitement regarding their next project about which he will speak off when the time is right.
