Historical Battles for Total War Attlia Revealed
The game is slated for release on Febuary 17th

With the release of Total War Attlia hanging around the corner Creative Assembly are giving players a glimpse of the various features of the game. This time its the unique Historical Battles feature which is essentially a game type that offers the old fashioned skirmish battle similar to the ones found in any other RTS game. Deviating from their campaign style, the makers Creative Assembly have tried their level best to make this feature from other games by adding map and armies and making them historically accurate as possible so that players can find themselves in the shoes of the historical military leaders of the time.

There will be nine different Historical Battles in the game listed as follows:

  • Battle of Catalaunian Plains
  • Battle of Soissons
  • Battle of Ravenna
  • Battle of the Frigidus River
  • Battle of Utus
  • Battle of Adrianopolis
  • Battle of Samara
  • Battle of Cartagena
  • Battle of Ad Decimum

The video released for this feature showcases Battle of Catalaunian Plains played by one of the developers on a hard difficulty level. The developers insist that they made hard-coded events for each Historical Battle. The AI of the game seems complex enough to act differently and adapt to what players are doing in the game and therefore no two plays of a historical battle will be the same.
