Final Fantasy XV aiming for 1080p and 30fps

It has been reported that Square Enix is looking to make Final Fantasy XV in 1080p and 30fps when the full game finally comes out in the future. The game’s director, Hajime Tabata, held a Reddit AMA where he gave out more facts about the game. He also hinted some information as to what gamers can expect in the near future.

Tabata said their target for Final Fantasy XV is “full HD and 30fps“. Which is their goal this year for the full version. However, he also stated that reaching that goal might be “difficult to realize“, why? because of the “graphics and features” that Square Enix has put into the game.

He made it a point to say that since Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 and Xbox One is 1080p and 30fps, so the target is achievable for a large scale game as well. Tabata also added that Noctis’ “Phantom Sword” will be available to use in the new Final Fantasy Demo and a new jump feature will also be available for players.

What is more interesting is that, the director is aiming to release the Final Fantasy XV demo sooner as Final Fantasy Type 0-HD comes out in the month of March. But in terms of the game Tabata stressed they’re doing their best to “release it as soon as possible.“
