That huge over just turned the tide in favor of the Italians and it was just a matter of moments before Italy won this one. Finland have a lot of thinking to do as the group stages are about to end. They need to find more wins than Italy from their remaining games to stay alive in this contest.

Amir followed him and lost his wicket just 3 balls later. Finland were just back in this contest. Italians losing a few wickets just pushed them on the backfoot. However, Kosala and Shaikh smashed Naveed in the 8th over for 25 runs.

However, Baljit and Amir showed no signs of stopping and made sure that they found a boundary and maximum as the overs progressed. The partnership was broken just at the halfway point as Baljit tried to make a huge over to tighten the grip.

Coming in to chase a modest total of 96 runs, Italy were kept quiet for the first couple of overs. However, Baljit and Amir started to find the boundaries towards the end of the powerplay and helped their side get a move on. Finland needed wickets to put pressure on Italy.

Italy comes out on top in this contest and that has been an emphatic victory for them. Their second win of the day and in this contest. This for loss now really puts pressure on Finland as they are now on the verge of getting knocked out of this competition.
