FULL TIME: Brazil 2-1 Colombia

A rather eventful and unfortunate half for Colombia as the Brazilians surge further on the top of Group B with 9 points from 3 games. Colombia defended well in the first half and went into the lead with a stunner from Luis Diaz.

Brazil went ahead with a controversial goal as the ball hit the referee and Firmino headed in after the Colombian defenders were stopped in their tracks. The Colombians lost their concentration and eventually conceded in the 101st minute as Casemiro headed in from a Neymar corner to take all three points from the scruff of Colombia's reach.

Colombia stay at 2nd in Group B with 4 points from 3 games and will have to wait till the 4th and final match day to seal their qualification to the quarter-finals.

84' The game finally resumes after significantly long protests from the Colombia players as they do not agree with the referee's decision of letting the goal allowed. The referee finally blows the whistle for kick-off after the deliberation.

Roberto Firminho finds the back of the net after a cross from Renan Lodi. The Colombians are enraged that the goal has been given after the VAR check since the ball hit the referee and Colombia stopped in their tracks, allowing Brazil to score.

57' Neymar goes solo with a darting run and has a go at the goal from distance but the attempt is wide. Restlessness and frustration creeping into the Brazilian attacking line-up. The Colombian defence has been absolutely exemplary so far.

56' Neymar floats in a free-kick inside the danger area but the Colombian defence have no problems whatsoever dealing with the aerial balls.

55' CLOSE! A perfectly placed long ball from Casemiro finds Neymar who makes a well-timed run but the Brazilian striker fails to connect the aerial ball and only manages to have the faintest of volleyed attempts at goal with Ospina between the sticks. The scorers are untroubled.

53' Gabriel Jesus goes solo down the Colombian defence and tries to curl it inside from the outside of his boot but the ball is well wide of the target. Jesus asks for a free-kick as he alleges that he was taken down while going for the goal with the shot but the referee is not interested in entertaining freak appeals.

49' Neymar earns a corner off Yerry Mina's defensive header. The corner is bent in the air inside the Colombian box but the visitors clear their lines. Brazilian back on the ball.

The Brazilians find themselves in unfamiliar territory as a spectacular acrobatic attempt from Luis Diaz puts Colombia ahead in the break.
