​Ahmed Hassanein has been an edge defender for Boise State University since 2021. Throughout his college career, he played in 40 games, recording 119 tackles (69 solo), 35 tackles for loss, 24 sacks, and three forced fumbles. In 2023, he had a breakout season, achieving 12.5 sacks, which ranked sixth in Boise State's single-season records. That same year, he was selected as a First-Team All-Mountain West Conference player. For the 2024 season, he was named team captain and received First-Team All-Mountain West honors again, along with an Honorable Mention All-America from the College Football Network.
