AJ Green is an American footballer who plays as a wide receiver in the National Football League. Green's career began in the year 2011 when he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round as the 4th overall pick of the NFL draft 2011.

He signed a deal of four years worth $19.6 million with the Cincinnati Bengals and in a match against the Cleveland Browns, he made his NFL debut. In the following game, he recorded his first NFL reception. In a game against the Denver Broncos, he recorded his first 100-yard game with 10 receptions for 124 receiving yards. After continuing his great performance all through the season he finished his first season with four 100-yard games and caught sixty-five passes for 1,057 yards. In the subsequent season, in a 38-31 victory game against the Washington Redskins, he caught nine passes for a career-high 183 yards and due to his brilliant performance he was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month.

In the 2013 season, Green set new career highs for receptions and receiving yards and was ranked 9th by his teammates in the list of Top Players of NFL 2014. In the 2015 season in a game against the Baltimore Ravens Green caught 10 passes for a career-high 227 yards as the Bengals won 28-24. He continued his great performance in the upcoming seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals. During training camp, Green suffered torn ligaments in his ankle causing him to miss the whole 2019 season.

In the 2021 season, he signed a deal of one year worth $8.5 million with the Arizona Cardinals he completed the season with 54 catches for 848 yards and three touchdowns. In 2022 he signed a new contract extension deal of one year with the Cardinals and played his final career match against the San Francisco 49ers. He retired from the NFL on Feb 6, 2023, after playing for 12 seasons.

Before his journey in the NFL began Green performed college soccer with the Georgia Bulldogs football group at the University of Georgia. In his freshman year in 2008, he set Georgia freshman school records in all 3 categories and was named Freshman of the Year. In his sophomore year in 2009, he continued to be a key player for the Bulldogs. After having another great season in his junior year Green announced that he would be entering the NFL draft of 2011.

Green is married to actress and singer Miranda Brooke and have two sons together. In 2015 Green provided three separate scholarships to three athletes. In 2019 Green donated money to elementary school teachers in his hometown of Summerville. He weighs around 94 and is 6 ft 4 inches tall.
