Alec Matthew Pierce is an American football wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL. The Colts selected Pierce as the 53rd pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Pierce recorded his first touchdown in Week 6 of his rookie season. By the end of his debut season, he had two touchdowns, one fumble and 41 receptions for 593 yards. The following season, Pierce started 16 of the 17 games he played and concluded the season with 32 receptions for 514 yards and two touchdowns.
Pierce received offers from 17 universities but decided to play for the University of Cincinnati. During his sophomore season in 2019, he recorded 37 receptions for 652 yards and two touchdowns. Pierce had to miss out on four games during his junior season in 2020, after sustaining a knee injury. During his senior season in 2021, he had a total of eight touchdowns and 52 receptions for 884 yards and with that, he was named to the second-team All-American Athletic Conference. Pierce attended Glenbard West High School. Along with football, he played basketball, volleyball and participated in track too. During his senior season in 2017, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the West Suburban Conference Silver Division.
