Amari Cooper, a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, was selected at the 2015 NFL Draft as the #4 overall pick. The Miami, Florida-born Cooper attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School. He was a first-team FHSAA 8A All-State selection for his final year performance in which he hauled in 33 receptions for 722 yards. Following his secondary education, being a consensus four-star recruit, he opted for the University of Alabama in 2012. Cooper’s collegiate career is filled with individual and team accolades. He was named to the first-team All-SEC in 2014 while also being named SEC Offensive Player of the Year in the same season. Cooper finished his collegiate career by accounting for more than 3,400 passing yards and 31 touchdowns. The Fred Biletnikoff Award and Paul Warfield Trophy winner opted for the NFL draft in 2015, where he was taken 4th overall by the Oakland Raiders (now Las Vegas Raiders). Since entering the league, Cooper has been as advertised as he reached the 1,000-yard mark in both of his first two seasons. In his nine-year pro tenure (as of October 2024), Amari has logged more than 1k yard mark in seven seasons which shows his consistency year in and year out. Amari after coming to Dallas, went on to play 9 games for the Cowboys in 2018, where he caught 53 passes for 725 yards. During his time in "Big D", Cooper had two 1,100 yards seasons along with two more Pro Bowl selections. He recorded 3,893 yards and 27 touchdowns during his time in Dallas.

Cleveland Browns (2022 - 2024)

Cooper was traded to the Cleveland Browns on March 16, 2022, by the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round pick and a swap of sixth-round picks. The 2022 season saw him accumulate 1,160 yards and a career-high 9 touchdowns. His sophomore campaign with Cleveland saw him put up career-best numbers in passing yards (1,260). He became the first wide receiver in Browns history to get back-to-back 1,000 yards season. However, after the Browns started the 2024 season with a 1-5 record, Browns traded him to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a third-round and seventh-round pick.
