Baker Reagan Mayfield is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as of the 2024 NFL season. The Cleveland Browns selected Mayfield as the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Before joining the Buccaneers in 2023, he played for the Browns from 2018 to 2021, followed by stints with the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams in 2022. Mayfield made the Pro Bowl in 2023 and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2018. As of Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season, he has recorded 145 touchdowns, 79 interceptions, and 21,821 passing yards.

During his college years, Mayfield played football at both Texas Tech University in 2013, and the University of Oklahoma from 2014 to 2017. According to Oklahoma Sooners' official website, he won the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award, Davey O'Brien Award, Manning Award, and Chic Harley Award in 2017. He finished his collegiate career with 14,607 yards, 131 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions, according to Sports Reference. Before committing to Texas Tech, he attended Lake Travis High School, where he played as the starting quarterback and won the 2011 4A State Championship.

According to Draftsharks, Mayfield suffered a chest/rib sprain in October 2020. In 2021, he had a shoulder injury in both September and October, followed by a knee strain in November. In January 2022, he re-injured his shoulder and in October 2022, he suffered a high ankle sprain. During his college years, Mayfield experienced a knee injury in October 2013, and sustained head concussions in November and December of 2015 as well.

Chest/Rib Sprain (2020)

Mayfield injured his ribs in Week 5 of the 2020 NFL season in a game against the Indianapolis Colts but played the next game. However, in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was replaced by Case Keenum in the third quarter due to aggravating the rib injury.

Shoulder Injury (2021)

Mayfield suffered a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder during Week 2 of the 2021 season in a game against the Houston Texans on September 19, 2021. He played through the injury but reinjured his shoulder in Week 6, missing one game against the Denver Broncos in Week 7. Mayfield was placed on injured reserve on January 5, 2022, after announcing he would undergo surgery on the torn labrum. He concluded the 2021 NFL season with 3,010 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in 14 games.

Knee Injury (2021)

Mayfield was forced out of Week 10's game against the New England Patriots with a knee strain on 14th November, 2021. However, he returned for the next game, after suffering a right knee contusion during the loss.

Ankle Sprain (2022)

According to Pro Football Reference, Mayfield played through the ankle injury in Week 5 of the 2022 season against the San Francisco 49ers, but missed the following two games in Week 6 and 7.

Knee Injury (2013)

According to Draftsharks, Mayfield missed four games during his freshman season at Texas Tech due to a right knee strain (Grade 1) on October 5, 2013.

Head Concussion (2015)

Mayfield suffered a head concussion on November 21, 2015, missing the second half of the game against TCU but was cleared for the next one. He later exited the national semifinal against Clemson on December 31, 2015, in the fourth quarter with another concussion.
