Caleb Williams is an American football quarterback for the Chicago Bears. He was born in Washington, D.C. The 6 ft 1 in signal caller was the first overall selection by the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL draft. Williams attended Gonzaga College High School in his home state. As a sophomore, he impressed everyone by passing for 2,624 yards and 36 total touchdowns, earning him a spot on the Washington Post All-Metropolitan 1st team and the prestigious Gatorade Football Player of the Year award. His junior year saw him being named Washington Post All-Metropolitan 1st team for the second consecutive time after he threw for 1,770 yards and rushed for 838 yards. He got into the endzone 37 times that year.

Williams commenced his college football journey at the University of Oklahoma, initially serving as a backup to Spencer Rattler in 2021. However, he got a breakthrough during the midseason game between the Sooners and Longhorns, where he assumed the starting role midway. He started 7 games the rest of the year. In an intriguing turn of events, when the head coach of the Oklahoma team, Lincoln Riley, decided to transfer to the University of Southern California. Caleb, who had entered the transfer protocol, announced on February 1, 2022, that he was moving to USC to continue his college football career with the USC Trojans, reuniting him with his former head coach. In his first year as a starter at USC, Caleb Williams achieved the remarkable feat of winning the prestigious Heisman Trophy by throwing for 42 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions. In 2023, he was also given the title of “Athlete of the Year” by ESPY.
