How tall is Cam Newton?

Last Modified Aug 24, 2023 13:12 GMT

Cam Newton, who is currently not signed with any team, played for the NY Giants some time back. He holds the distinction of nearly having the most rushing yards and touchdowns in NFL history. Known by the nickname "Super Cam " he has made a name for himself as a great quarterback.

From Atlanta, Georgia, Cam relocated to Auburn University in Alabama to pursue his football career. While he was in Auburn, Cam flourished. Newton achieved significant accomplishments by winning both the 2011 BCS National Championship Game and the prestigious Heisman Trophy. His talent and potential were highly regarded by scouts leading to him being chosen as the pick in the 2011 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers.

Despite being an MVP in seasons Cam's efforts to guide the Carolina Panthers to victory in Super Bowl 2015 were ultimately unsuccessful. As a quarterback who excels both at passing and running with the ball, he continues to strive for a championship title that has eluded him far.

No team has chosen Newton as of July 2023, despite the fact that he hasn't officially retired. He is a free agent, thus an organization can decide to sign him for the next season.

Cam Newton’s Height and how is it an advantage for him?

Cam Newton is 6 feet 5 inches tall and as all can guess, that is way beyond the average height of an NFL player. His height gives him certain perks on the field and they are;

  • an increased field of view. Because of his height, Newton can see above the defensive line and down the field, improving his vision of the play and facilitating more precise throws.

  • a wider range. Because of his long arms and reach, Newton can prolong plays and complete throws that other quarterbacks would not be able to.

  • an even more frightening presence. Defenders may find it challenging to tackle Newton because of his imposing presence on the pitch due to his height and stature.

He is currently not playing for any team but Cam would be an excellent addition to any team as he can provide a veteran leadership that every young team requires to excel.
