D'Andre Swift, a running back for the Chicago Bears, was originally selected by the Detroit Lions as the 35th pick in the second round of the NFL 2020 draft. In 2020, after joining the Detroit Lions, Swift signed a deal with them for four years worth $8.53 million. In the 2020 season, in a match against the Chicago Bears, he made his official NFL debut, where in the following match he recorded the first rushing touchdown of his NFL career. He finished his rookie season with 114 carries for 521 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, with 46 receptions for 357 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. In 2021, Swift recorded 130 rushing yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers and 136 rushing yards against the Cleveland Browns and played in 13 games.

After having a successful and career-altering season in 2021, Swift continued his excellent performance week after week and he finished the 2022 season with career-high stats where he had 99 carries for 542 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns with 48 receptions for 389 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. In 2023, Swift was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. Swift won NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 2 after running for a career-high 175 yards and a score in a 34-28 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. In a 25-11 victory over Tampa Bay the next week, Swift added another 130 rushing yards on 16 carries. Swift gained 1,000 running yards in a season for the first time in his career with 61 rushing yards in Week 17. Next, he was selected for his first-ever Pro Bowl selection in January 2024, and two months later, in March, he signed a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears.

He went to St. Joseph's Preparatory School and was rated as Pennsylvania's top player throughout his tenure at The Prep and won the 2016 Pennsylvania Football Writers Association All-State Player of the Year award. As a senior, Swift led the Hawks to an undefeated season and the PIAA Class 6A State Championship. He also recorded 25 touchdowns with 149 carries for 1,564 yards.
