Daniel Jones is an American professional football quarterback for the New York Giants of the National Football League as of 2024. Known as Danny Dimes, he was drafted by the New York Giants in the first round with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft and since then, he has been playing with the Giants. He emerged as a standout quarterback during his college career at Duke University. After redshirting his first year, Jones took over as Duke's starting quarterback in 2016, where he showcased his talent with 2,836 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.

His junior year saw him earn MVP honors at the Quick Lane Bowl, delivering a dynamic performance with both passing and rushing contributions. In his senior year, Jones excelled further, winning MVP of the Independence Bowl with a remarkable 423 passing yards and five touchdowns. His exceptional play continued into the Senior Bowl, where he was named MVP, solidifying his reputation as a top NFL prospect.
