Eli Manning is an American former professional football player who played for the New York Giants in the NFL. The San Diego Chargers selected Eli Manning as the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft but later traded him to the New York Giants. He played in the league for a period of 16 years. Throughout his career, Eli Manning played for one team and is a two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP. He has also earned multiple NFL All-Pro selections. He is also the winner of the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and Bart Starr Award.

Post his playing career, Eli entered the broadcasting field with his brother Peyton Manning. The two brothers host a show as NFL analysts as part of ESPN. Eli was born on January 3, 1981, in New Orleans, Louisiana and is the youngest son of Archie Manning and the younger brother of Peyton Manning. Manning played college football at the University of Mississippi after attending Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, where he played football and basketball.

In 2002, he threw for 3,401 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. In his senior year, he had 3,600 yards, 29 touchdowns, and won the Maxwell Award. At the end of his college football career, Eli had recorded 81 touchdowns, 10,119 passing yards and a 137.7 passer rating (via Sports Reference).
