Hailing from Brentwood, Tennessee, Jake Briningstool is a collegiate footballer who has been playing for Clemson University since 2021. Being a four-star recruit, Briningstool is heading toward the NFL, thus leaving an imprint as an all-time leader at the tight end position. He broke Jordan Leggett’s record in 2024, winning the All-ACC honours for the second time. In his career as of April 2025, he has seized 127 career passes for around 1380 yards, including 17 touchdowns in 1982 snaps.

Briningstool was selected as the permanent captain of the Clemson Tigers by his fellow teammates. In 2024, he grabbed 49 passes, received 530 yards, and scored seven touchdowns in 713 offensive snaps in all 13 games he played. Briningstool scored a career-high, tying two touchdowns on seven receptions against Appalachian State, becoming the first Clemson duo with Bryant Wesco to reach 100 receiving yards. Briningstool’s biggest accomplishment includes scoring nine receptions against the 2023 Gator Bowl, tying the Clemson record for receptions by a tight end.
