The Los Angeles Rams quarterback James "Jimmy G" Garoppolo was born on November 2, 1991. The New England Patriots selected him with the 62nd pick in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was on two Super Bowl-winning teams in 2014 and 2016, but he spent his first four seasons as Tom Brady's backup. Moving on, he was traded to the San Francisco 49ers before the end of the 2017 season, and he had his best season there, leading the team to the top conference seed and an appearance in Super Bowl LIV.

However, Garoppolo was injured while in San Francisco and missed most of the 2018 and 2020 seasons. After another season-ending injury in 2022, he spent a year with the Las Vegas Raiders before joining the Los Angeles Rams in March 2024.
