Joshua Patrick Allen is an American football quarterback who plays for the Buffalo Bills NFL team. Allen was born on May 21, 1996 in Firebaugh, California, a small town to the west of Fresno, California. Growing up, Allen was a fan of Fresno State and he attended many games and football camps. Josh Allen was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft with the seventh overall pick. Allen, like many modern day football quarterbacks, is a dual threat signal caller with one of the best arm strengths that scouts have seen.

Initially, Allen attended Reedley College for one year before transferring to the University of Wyoming. Over the course of 4 years in college, Allen compiled quite a resume with more than 5,000 passing yards to go with 44 passing touchdowns against 21 interceptions. On the ground, Allen ran for 767 yards and added a further 12 touchdowns.

In 2018, the Buffalo Bills traded up from their number 12 spot to the 7th spot and drafted Josh Allen as their future franchise quarterback. Allen signed a four-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $21 million.

Josh Allen Passing Yards in the Regular Season

Josh Allen was almost an immediate starter for the Bills as he took over their offense in September 2018. He played in 12 games and started 11 of those. In his first ever NFL game as a starter, Allen finished with 245 passing yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions as the Bills went on to lose the game 20-31 to the Los Angeles Chargers. Since then, Allen has not looked back on his Bills career thus far. He has started in all of the Bills games for the past 4 years and along the way he has set various Bills records. He has been the fulcrum around which the Bills have made the playoffs each year from 2019. The 6 foot 5 inch quarterback amassed 3,089 yards in 2019, his first full year as a starter. After a couple of years of slow starts, Allen broke through and in the 2020 season, he had his first 4,000 plus yards season finishing with 4,544 yards which incidentally is his highest tally till date. His 2021 and 2022 seasons saw him finish with 4,407 and 4,283 yards respectively.
