
Kain Medrano, an American college footballer, has been playing as a linebacker for the UCLA Bruins since 2019. Medrano entered the 2025 NFL Combine, where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds while recording a 38'' vertical jump and a 10'5'' broad jump. In 2024, he appeared in 12 games for the Bruins, making 72 tackles, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles. After leading the team during the season, he was named to the Third-team All-Big Ten, the preseason watch list of Reese’s Senior Bowl, and the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000.
In 2023, the Pueblo, Colorado native appeared in 13 games, recording 56 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. He gained an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and finished second in the list of total tackles on the team. During the start of his college career with the Bruins in 2019, he appeared on special teams during the game against California while also being named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for Fall. In high school, he was a three-star recruit and won the 2019 Steinmark Award for being the top male student-athlete in Colorado. Medrano also had success in track and field (discus, shot put, and relays) in high school.
