Kenneth Murray Jr is a professional American football linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys as of March 2025. The Los Angeles Chargers selected him with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. In exchange for the choice that Murray was selected with, the Chargers traded their second and third-round selections to the New England Patriots. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team (2020) and recorded 107 tackles and a sack in his rookie season. In 2021, Murray sustained an ankle injury and was placed on the injured reserve. Murray concluded the 2022 season with one sack, 76 tackles, one forced fumble and one interception. In April 2023, the Chargers declined the fifth-year option on Murray’s contract. Murray signed a two-year deal with the Titans worth $15.5 million in 2024. Following the 2024 season, Murray was traded to the Cowboys on March 12, 2025.
Murray attended the University of Oklahoma. As a freshman, he was named the co-Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and concluded the season with 78 tackles and one sack according to Sports Reference).
