After serving the Redskins for three years Kyle Shanahan and his father Mike Shanahan were fired from the Redskins. He reached his first Super Bowl as an offensive coordinator with the Falcons in 2017, where the Falcons were defeated by the New England Patriots. In 2017, Shanahan joined the San Francisco 49ers as their head coach.
