Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr. is an American football quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL as of the 2024 NFL season. The Ravens drafted Jackson with the 32nd pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Jackson had 1,201 passing yards, 695 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns during his rookie season in the NFL. He also became the youngest quarterback to start in an NFL playoffs game. As of January 2025, Jackson won the NFL MVP Award and the Bert Bell Award twice in 2019 and 2023 respectively. He also received four Pro Bowl honors and three First-team All-Pro honors. As of Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season, Jackson threw for 20,059 yards with 6,173 rushing yards and 199 total touchdowns.

Lamar Jackson played college football for the Louisville Cardinals from 2015 to 2017. During his sophomore season in 2016, he recorded 3,543 passing yards, 1,571 rushing yards and a combined 51 touchdowns, leading him to win the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award and received unanimous All-American honors in 2016. He also received ACC Offensive Player of the Year, ACC Player of the Year and First-team All-AAC honors twice in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Lamar Jackson wears jersey number 8 for the Baltimore Ravens. According to the Baltimore Ravens' official website, Jackson made an appearance in the 'Lounge' podcast, where he explained he would change his jersey number to 1 if he won a Super Bowl.
