In the NFL he fulfilled his destiny as a defender exceeding all expectations placed upon him.

Michael Strahan's senior year at Westbury High School in Houston proved to be crucial in his journey. Despite not having played football until then his impressive build and physical strength earned him a scholarship to Texas Southern University.

Strahan spent a part of his life in Germany due to his father's military service. However, he returned to the United States. Lived with his uncle Art during his year. Although Westbury High School wasn't particularly renowned for its football program Strahan's talent caught the attention of Texas Southern University leading to a scholarship offer after one season of playing football.

Michael Strahan truly shined during his college years at Texas Southern University. His exceptional performance on the field resulted in him being selected by the Giants in the round of the 1993 draft. Prior to college, he had even set a school record with 41.5 sacks. Remarkably Strahan remained loyal to the Giants throughout his 15-year NFL career. Was instrumental in their victory at Super Bowl XLII in 2008. Following his retirement from football that year he transitioned into becoming a well-known TV personality.
