Michael Thomas is a professional American footballer who plays in the National Football League NFL as a wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints. Michael's professional career began in the year 2016 when he was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the NFL draft of 2016.

Michael signed a deal for four years with the New Orleans Saints of worth. In the 2016 season, he made his official NFL debut in a game against Oakland Raiders. In a match against the Atlanta Falcons Michael caught his career's first NFL touchdown. Micheal in his first season set the NFL records for receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. In the 2017 season Michael had another great season for the New Orleans Saints he finished the following season where he recorded 104 receptions for 1,245 yards and five touchdowns. Due to his brilliant performance in the following season, he earned a Pro Bowl nomination. Michael was ranked by his team members at 81st in the list of Top NFL players of 2018.

In 2019 Michael signed a new contract extension deal with the New Orleans Saints of worth $100 million which made him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL at the time. Michael finished the following season where he recorded 149 catches for 1,725 yards and nine touchdowns. In the 2021 season, Michael injured his ankle and had to go through ankle surgery and due to the following surgery, he missed the 2021 season. He came back from the injury in the 2022 season in a match against the Atlanta Falcons where in the following match he caught five passes for 57 yards, and two touchdowns. Michael injured his foot in a game against the Carolina Panthers which the rest of his season.

Before stepping into the NFL Michael played college football with the Ohio State University. In his freshman year in 2012 Michael in his first season showed brilliant performance where he finished the following season with three receptions for 22 yards in 11 games. In his sophomore season in 2014 against Alabama in the National Semifinals he recorded seven receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. In 2016 Michael announced that will be focusing on his NFL career and decided to enter the NFL draft of 2016.
