Before entering the NFL, Vrabel had represented Ohio State University from 1993 to 1996. The three-time Super Bowl champion played on many teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots, and the Kansas City Chiefs in his 14-year-long NFL tenure. The 2007 Pro Bowl honoree announced his retirement following the 2010 season.
Vrabel's second inning in coaching landed him in Columbus as a Linebackers coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2011.
