Where did Mitchell Trubisky go for college?

American football quarterback Mitchell Trubisky plays for the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 NFL season. The Chicago Bears drafted him with the 2nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Growing up in Ohio, Trubisky attended Mentor High School. Trubisky passed for more than 9,000 yards and 92 touchdowns while adding 1,559 yards on the ground. He was awarded the Ohio Mr. Football Award in 2012, as per North Carolina's official website.

After entering NFL, Trubisky started 12 games in his rookie year finishing with a record of 4-8. He went on to start 50 games for the Bears in his four-year stay at Chicago. His best season in Bears uniform came in 2018, when he put up career-high numbers across the board: 3223 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns while also leading the team to the postseason. After backing up Josh Allen in Buffalo for the 2021 season, Trubsiky went to Pittsburgh where he started seven games in two years for the Steelers. Trubisky once again returned to Buffalo for his second stint with the Bills in 2024. As of January 2025, Trubusky has passed for 12,715 yards and 74 passing touchdowns in his pro career (via Pro Football Reference).

Mitchell Trubisky's college

Trubisky attended the University of North Carolina in 2013, beginning his college football career with the Tar Heels. He played twelve games in the 2014 season and nine games in 2015 (via Sports Reference).

Trubisky was the starter for the 2016 season and went on to start all 13 games, as per North Carolina's official website. According to Sports Reference, Trubisky finished his collegiate career with 4762 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns.
