North Carolina-born wide receiver Muhsin “Moose” Muhammad III comes from a line of football blood. His father Muhsin Muhammad was also a wide receiver drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 1996.

Muhammad III possesses great game sense and aerial ability. He has expertise in back-shoulder routes being able to spot space his quarterback can work with. He has elite ball-tracking ability combined with body strength to find his way among defenders. With creativity and vision, he becomes a lethal weapon in the open field with consistency. Moose Muhammad III committed to Florida State at the end of the 2023 season. He initially committed to Alabama coming out of high school where he spent three seasons. Muhammad III as a freshman participated in was tied on second position for touchdowns despite playing only eight games. Becoming a starter in 2022 he had 38 receptions for 610 yards and four touchdowns by the end of the season.

Muhammad III was named to the PFF All-SEC Second Team and also earned the offence's Most Improved Award at the annual team banquet. He is a big game player, showcasing his performance against Ole Miss where he went over 100 receiving yards, while against Florida, he had a standout performance with 99 yards on seven catches. Muhammad III averaged 12.8 yards per carry in the 2023 season before entering the transfer portal.

Growing up in North Carolina Moose Muhammad III attended Myers Park High School in Charlotte. He was a four-star recruit finishing with 63 passes for 1,270 yards and 17 touchdowns. Muhammad III was named to the 2020 All-American Bowl while is also an Army All-American.
