Najee Jerome Harris, popularly known as Najee Harris is an American football running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers as of the 2024 NFL season. The Steelers selected him with the 24th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Playing in all 17 regular season games in his rookie season, Harris recorded 1200 rushing yards, seven touchdowns along with 74 receptions for 467 yards and made it to the PFWA All-Rookie team that year. As of Week 7 in 2024, he has 3,747 rushing yards, 24 rushing touchdowns, 158 receptions, 1,001 receiving yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns.
Najee Harris was born on March 9, 1998, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Harris started his high school football career at Antioch High School in Antioch. He was a part of the college football team at Alabama as well.

Najee Harris went to the University of Alabama and graduated in 2020 with a degree in Consumer Services. Under the guidance of his head coach Nick Saban, Harris played for the University of Alabama for four seasons from 2017 to 2020.
According to Sports Reference, Najee Harris played 14 games in the 2017 season and scored three rushing touchdowns, finishing with 370 yards on 61 carries. He won his first national championship against Georgia by 26-23. In 2018, Harris played 15 games and started the season with rushing touchdowns in initial matches however there was no luck after the first five matches. He concluded the season with 783 rushing yards, four touchdowns along with four receptions for seven yards.
In the 2019 season, Harris had seven receiving touchdowns, 209 carries for 1224 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns while 27 passes were caught by him for 304 receiving yards. In 2020, Harris continued to be the starting running back of the team for the ten-game season. In the same season, Harris won his second National Championship after defeating Ohio State by 52-24. He was also honored with the Doak Walker Award and was a Unanimous All-American, and earned First-team All-SEC honors.
