Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb is one of the strongest players in the NFL today. He is a freak of nature due to his size, athleticism, and strength. His strength particularly is monstrous. The man can squat 675 pounds for a single rep and Chubb looked like he broke no sweat while doing it.

Chubb was born on December 27, 1995, and plays the running back spot for the Cleveland Browns. Drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft, Chubb wasted no time in establishing himself as one of the finer players in the league, making it to the Pro Bowl in four of his first five seasons in the NFL. In the 2022 NFL season, Chubb was on fire. He had set a career-high in rushing yards, attempts, and total touchdowns. He finished the season third in rushing yards only behind Derrick Henry and Josh Jacobs.

When we talk about Chubb’s skills, he is known for his renowned and powerful running style. Chubb is a physical force on the field who can often break tackles and churn out tough yards. However, he is not a one-dimensional rusher either. Chubb can only catch passes out of the backfield which adds another layer to his already impressive skill set. In the last five NFL seasons, Chubb has rushed for 6,341 yards and had 48 rushing touchdowns. He has averaged 5.2 yards per carry and has only fumbled 7 times. He is considered to be one of the best pure running backs in NFL history.

All the Cleveland Browns’ fans were expecting another great season from Chubb but unfortunately for him and the fans, he tore his ACL and is currently expected to be out for the rest of the season. Chubb is currently walking with the help of crutches and has shown a small sign of progress. He is one of the most essential pieces in the Browns' roster and is expected to achieve many great feats with the team.

Nick Chubb’s Draft

Chubb was drafted as the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. He was only the fourth running back to be picked that year and he went on to sign a four-year entry-level deal which amounted to a total of $7.4 million.

2018 was supposed to be a great year for the Browns as they drafted Baker Mayfield who was supposed to take the NFL by storm. However, that was not the case and instead, Chubb was quite easily their best draft choice that season. Chubb is one of the top running backs in the game today and is already fourth in franchise history with 6,511 rushing yards. His season was cut short but is expected to return next season with a lot to prove.
