He has married two times and has one daughter with his ex-wife Rebecca and two daughters with his current wife Grete Šadeiko. Griffin has his own charitable foundation namely the RGIII Foundation which helps underprivileged youth, military families, and victims of domestic violence. In 2012 after joining the Washington Redskins he signed a deal with them for four years worth $21.1 million. In the 2011 season in a match against the New Orleans Saints, he

made his official NFL debut in the following match he scored two touchdowns and was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week and he was also named as the NFC Rookie of the Month for his brilliant performance. In 2019 Griffin re-signed for two years with the Ravens and in 2021 he was waived by the Ravens.
